In this section of research proposal, I would like to share with you how I conduct my research methodology. First of all, let's we watch this video first conducted by Dr.Cresswell. This is informative introduction to Mixed Methodology. It was a great help in framing my methodology chapter for my research proposal.
Why I use Mix-Method research?
Mixed methods research is a methodology for conducting research that involves collecting, analysing and integrating quantitative (e.g., experiments, surveys) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups, interviews) research. This approach to research is used when this integration provides a better understanding of the research problem than either of each alone.
Quantitative data includes close-ended information such as that found to measure attitudes (e.g., rating scales), behaviors (e.g., observation checklists), and performance instruments. The analysis of this type of data consists of statistically analysing scores collected on instruments (e.g., questionnaires) or checklists to answer research questions or to test hypotheses.
Qualitative data consists of open-ended information that the researcher usually gathers through interviews, focus groups and observations. The analysis of the qualitative data (words, text or behaviours) typically follows the path of aggregating it into categories of information and presenting the diversity of ideas gathered during data collection.
Therefore, to answer my research question 1 and 2, I used quantitative method.
1) How do the lecturers and students view their self-evaluation on their English proficiency?
2) To what extent do the lecturers' and students' provide their attitudes towards
English Medium Instruction?
To answer my research question 3, it is suitable to use qualitative method.
3) How faculty members (lecturers) incorporate an international perspective into their own academic activities?
I also used ABC Model of Attitudes as guidelines to conduct my questionnaires. This first model was proposed by Hilgard in 1980.

At the same time, I also refer to Dr.Aziah's map to conduct my methodology chapter. The map that has been provided by Dr.Aziah was very imperative because it assists me a lot regarding what should I include in this chapter. It also provides a crystal clear picture for me to understand chapter three. Attached here is half of Dr.Aziah's map. You may download below for its full-version.

QUESTIONNAIRE
Here are the samples of questionnaire that I will use to distribute to my respondents. My respondents will be lecturers and students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johore. Yoy may refer to its full version below.
To answer my research question one, the questionnaires that I will use are as follows:
1) How do the lecturers and students view their self-evaluation on their English proficiency?
To answer my research question one, the questionnaires that I will use are as follows:
1) How do the lecturers and students view their self-evaluation on their English proficiency?
To answer my research question two, I apply this type of questionnaire.
2) To what extent do the lecturers' and students' provide their attitudes towards English Medium Instruction?

Last but not least, to answer my research question three, I use interview questions to interview lecturers as my respondents.
